Teaching + Learning Yearbook
Design — Institutional — Annual Report
Description
This 194-page book highlights the events, developments, and accomplishments of the Stanford d.School’s Teaching + Learning division for the 2019–20 year. As the year had been interrupted by the pandemic, we hired a photographer to get images of the empty spaces of the building, where evidence of abandoned work remained in the typically bustling studios. Artist Naila Ruechel was commissioned to create bespoke environments to frame each of the three sections. These dramatic images are juxtaposed with dramatic large typography and a bold color palette, establishing the yearbook as a modern-day storybook.
